Blaser Rings And Inserts

Post by Corjack »

I have not owned a Blaser 1 Inch scopemount in years. After buying two Swarovski Z5 2.4-12X50 for fill in scopes so I was not always mounting and moving scopes around. I have three floater Blaser mounts 30mm. I decided rather than spend a bunch more money on rings, I would just use the Delron inserts from Brownells. Took, maybe 5 more minutes to mount up, and most of that was me just being anal about the cracks being in the same place. In the new style rings the ring captures both pieces, and then you can set it on the base. No spreading rings or snapping them over the tube and scratching it. I really do not find them to look objectional ether.

Brilliant. Great idea.

I used those several years back when I had the z5 3-18x44. I think I have a set on a Conquest 4.5-14x50 as well. Not sure how long they'd been out when I found them but they worked great and as you say it eliminated having to buy 1" ring sets. Funny thing is at the time mine certainly didn't come in that nice package... Pretty plain Jane back then. The material they use is perfect for the application. Used a set or two several times and never had an issue with them. Always tightened up and held the scope in place.

Great idea and another option. It’s a shame Bownwells don’t ship to Australia 🇦🇺.

How about trading my 1" for your 30mm?

would solve my problem very conveniently.

Nope, then my 30mm scopes would not fit into the 1 inch rings.
