Utility dogs

Post by Oscar »

When ever the word utility is used to describe a breed its generally means the dog can be applied to many tasks. But what do you call a dog thats does many different tasks? Well, I call him Monty. Many of you have seen pictures of my boy with rabbits, ducks , deer and goat next to him (whether he retrieved it or just walked along beside us as the team mascot) but last weekend we changed tack completely and raced him in his very first race. Also a first is that I used a camera to capture movie files....now if I can just work out how to convert it from 1.3G to something smaller buts thats another day. In any case, please find attached a few pics of our event where my little hunting mate changed gears (literally) and pulled my bulk around the track.

cheers

Good job Monty.

How did he go the second day compared to the first? I would have thought it would take more out of him than the Mallies?

And the critical question; can the sled be used to carry out a deer?

The little bugger was 33 seconds quicker the second day than the the first. As for the critical question, might be a bit tricky in the balancing department

Good work. I think I'd have to hook up both snagger dogs and lose 20kg to be in the same class :)

   Too cool. Good showing and bet the dog enjoyed himself as much as you did if not more.
