First Hunt for the boy

My boy's first hunt today, positive experience and showing no fear of the gun.
He did a partial retrieve (once I showed him where it was) but then again it was in 2m of blackberry bush so will forgive him for that. So a bit more forced retrieval work but overall he is responding to commands well (all off lead) and stays within the acceptable distance and sits when i stop walking. Very happy with the little pooch..almost as happy as he was!

Good work. They are great retrievers, and once he figures it all out, you'll never have to help him find the quarry

Ya gotta love hunting with a good dog - or even a not so good one....

He looks like a keeper! Mine, I sometimes want to shoot, but I wouldn't go into the forest without them.

Very good, hopefully he will not get as fat as Chuckies dog.

Thanks gents.
I have not seen MDK so can't comment but am sure Monty would like to play. No chance of him putting on weight, has a very strict diet and once a week gets hooked up with another dog to pull a scooter along for a couple of k's. Though he may look small, he actually is just over 30kg

Remember we have a PETA member here... you don't want to be too hard on that puppy.
Second thought maybe Icebug's PETA isn't the one I'm thinking of...
