Quickload Question

Post by Corjack »

Do you want 100% powder burn, before bullet exits muzzle?

How important is bullet time, in milli seconds, inside the barrel?

What is the optimum % of powder in the case?
There are no fleas on the 9.3s

Yes, this is to reduce recoil, muzzle flip, muzzle flame and not burm more powder than necessary, the only exception to yes is if the accuracy is poor, then I would of course go under 100 %

I’ve not really experimented in that area, but slow powder will give less mil. sec. than fast

What is the optimum % of powder in the case?
I would say always more than 90% and would like to get close to 100% to get full utilization of the caliber and a more consistent pressure, but it always depend on your barrel length and powder selection

But at the end of the day it’s hard to find a rule without exceptions
Thanks Bjarne

100% burn rate would be great, but 98 up is also OK...

Powder %: Never be too close to 100% - be below or above, but not between 99,5-100,5% - every charge should be definetly a pressed charge or a loose charge.

For fillment: ideal would be between 90-98% in my mind, but down to 88% would be OK as well... try it!
