we are going to NZ February - March 2026 for at least 5 weeks. I have one referral for fishing the North Island, Altitude Flyfishing and looking for some options on the South Island.
I am waiting for a new Euronymphing rod I purchased last week and will purchase the reel and line when i arrive in NZ.

Not sure exactly what you’re wanting. Is it a fishing guide?

If you haven’t already, have a look at the ‘Fish & Game New Zealand’ website which has information on licences and where to fish.

If you’re looking for guides, Google ‘fresh water fishing guides nz’ and you will have plenty of info.

You could also join the NZ Hunting and Shooting forum (nzhuntingandshooting.co.nz) - there is a fishing section. Introduce yourself and explain what you are after on there. Plenty of local guys who could help you.

Fishing and hunting is not that complicated here. If you have a fishing licence or hunting permit (neither of which is hard or expensive to get) you can pretty much pull up somewhere and go fishing or hunting. Some areas might have a local fishing season - particularly the high country lakes, so you would need to know the local regulations, but no hunting seasons down here (apart from birds). Get a free permit online and go hunting.
