Yesterday at the shooting range we had two guys with tracking dogs, to show a little about what they do.....
They had put up 10 areas with some blood, bones, hair og meat, then you could look and see if you could see anything.......A few small blood drops in the grass is hard to find :?
Then they told a story and showed a picture from that deer, and there was some very bad pictures......

They made a blood trail and after 2 hours the one guy put his dog on the trail and there was no problems to find the deer

They had some photo albums with many deers, and some really bad shot, and there was many who got some good info about what to do after shooting to a deer, if it aint on the spot after shooting......

A area with some sort of things to show the deer is hit....

And the deer from that area........

Another area......

And a bad shot........

To show some different angels from a bullet.....

The bullet exit hole......

Some tracking stuff.....

A few picture from the album......

Image
A sad picture of a 6 years tracking dog, who got staped last year, in november...... It was in some thick brush and the 2 pointer fallow put a antler in the dog and it died in his arms shortly after :(

And a look inside the shooting range.......

Olsen, now tell the truth. Did you shoot that deer in the butt?!?

I am very envious of your shooting range and the activities they put on for the members. I would love to be a part of something like that, but to my knowledge, there is nothing like your range anywhere in Texas. You are a very lucky man!Image

No butt shot from me :naughty:

But you wouldent belive many of those photoes, I know everyone can make a bad shot, but to shoot a big fallow buck in the ass, when it stands with the hole side to you, and you sit in a highseat, thats hard to belive to me

And hunters who try to make a shot for the neck to a roebuck at 150 meters are not the smartest I´ve heard about

And yes its a good range we have and you only pay 7 dollar, then you can shoot the hole day at 100 and 200 meter

We work very hard to get a running target at 80 meter and I hope we can use it next year
