Kahles K525i SKMR reticle or Mil4+

Post by jaap888 »

I'm in for a new scope and have to make a choice between the SKMR and the MIL4+. reticle. For target shooting mid long range and hunting. Both have the center dot of 0,35mil at 100 meters. In the Mil reticle the elevation and windage dots are 0,19mil at 100 meters and that seems to me as quite big if you are shooting on longer distances. If you wanne shoot at a crow by example at 400 meters almost the whole crow is covert in the dot 76mm.Is this why the SKMR reticle is may be more preferable for me because those lines on the crosshair are 0,035Mil at 100m it only 14mm line over the target at 400m and so on. Or do I oversee something why the Mil is preferable?
Cheers

With reticles it is mainly a personal choice, even if there are some preferences... I could not see anything wrong in Your mention...

Maybe have a look in my Webshop as well if You need some dealer to buy from,

I have 3 scopes with the SKMR3, same as the SKMR, just with a tree. I the SKMR is the easiest reticle to learn how to use, and is capable of top precision, depending on shooting skills and a rifle capable of precision.
