After carrying the LRS for years which is about 49ounces...the V8 is nothing! I did retire her to the LRS2 300 wm barrel.

I had a look at the V8 2-20 the other day, very heavy solid scope, very clear, be nice to have on a long range rifle, it would be heavy on a sporter that gets carried a lot in the hills, beutiful optics cheers David

Yes they are very clear.
The 1.8-14x50 is as heavy as I would want to carry on a sporter.

I will pick up a Zeiss Victory V8 4,8-35x60 ASV+ on saturday. Will be sweet on my R93 Black with semi 6,5x55 barrel.

I've got the v8 2.8-20x56 on my 300wtby and am looking to get a second scope for my 338lap.
I Just would like the 4.8-35x60 to have more height adjustment.

Havent got time take a closer look and compared it with my old Zeiss 3-12x56 classic. But I was testing it a little in a rainy dawn and I could see the raindrops real sharp falling at 100yards. That was a real experience!
