Sort of, I think there's a breeding run on ATM, so all the big ones are heading up river.
Otherwise it's because the water is so low and the current is so mild compared to usual that they can actually get up river to feed. They aren't hungry so you have to jerk and pause the retrieve to entice them to bite.

Whatever the reason, nice to see such big healthy fish.
