New pup

Post by Vaughan »

We took home the new pup on Saturday. GWP #3! This one is for the wife to train and he is the half-brother (same mother) of my little fella (no longer quite so little). This one is already showing signs of being a right bugger and with a temper to match. He is going to be a challenge but he is a beauty :D

He already looks like he's plotting your downfall under those big furry eyebrows

and ain't that the bloody truth, the little sod! :animals-dogrun:

It is going to be interesting. His 1/2 brother is one of those dogs you have once or twice in your life, if you're lucky. This one will be more work and getting him to submit and accept he is not the dominant partner will be a challenge. He is also fearless, the other day we were training his borther to retrieve from water and the little one decides he can do it too and hurls himself into the river. He is 8 weeks old, has never been in water. It is a BIG river and running in high spring flood..... Luckily the wife was able to grab him before he went under for a 2nd time.....
