New PB Trout today.

Post by SPEEDY »

Had a good day down the river today, I got 7 in total but I was pleasantly surprised when what I thought was a 4lb trout grew in size at the net and ended up being a new PB 9.3lb brown trout. đź‘Ť

Damn! That's a trout. Grown fast too by the look of it. Nice going.

There's quite a few in the 4lb-6lb range, but they get up to 16lb around here. The biggest I've seen a photo of was 22lb, so there's plenty of room for improvement.

The only trouble is the wife loves the trout so much she's pretty much only eating them so I still have a freezer full of venison so until we make a good dent in that I can't shoot another one.
But then again it's starting to get too hot to field butcher a deer anyway, the flys and the heat get to it before it's even back to the car.
