Just wondering what scope mounts people like for the Sako 85? I normally run a Picatinny rail on my Tikkas, they are quite a utilitarian set-up and I have a lot of rings to suit. But I am thinking about something a bit more "classic" looking for a blued/wood Sako.
Some people seem to love optilocks, while others seem to hate them. I've never used them, so have no opinion on them. Then there are a half a dozen or so other mount options, but none of them are mounts I usually run. So just generally unfamiliar with my choices for this rifle.
I am still a bit undecided on the scope I will be running, but it will be a lower powered scope, with an objective lens of 26mm to no more than 42mm.

I use the Sako Optilock on my Sako 85. I have no complaints, they go on & come off easy enough and seem to hold zero well.

All three of my Sako's run Optilocks. Never seen the need to look for anything else.

Re: Sako 85 Mounts?
I like using Talley rings and bases. I tried optilocks but just couldn’t get the scope low enough due to the bases.
