You must mean because they have to walk on it to get from couch to couch...
My dogs are spoiled but not to that degree. They do become family. Have an older Border Collie who's getting stiff and is starting to really have a hard time getting up and around. Taking him to the vet again today to get another shot and some pills to help him out. Sucks to see him getting old when his mind and heart are that of a puppy. Old age is cruel for man and beast.

That wouldn't work on my old dog. She is stone deaf and going blind, but she is still happy being with us.
