If it slips, it's a midnight snach

That 'possum does not look like the North American variety, and here in Europe I've never seen one, probably because there aren't any here. Caught quite a few trapping when I was a young one -- never seen one move very fast.

Do those there also carry their young in a pouch and can 9 newborns fit on a tablespoon?

Appears to me that a well placed shot, of course from a Blaser of suitable caliber, would fix this situation quite nicely. Plus, the dogs would be fed their evening meal!

That is what we call a ringtail possum. They are protected but this one has been winding the dogs up for the last 12 months.

Some say they may be allergic to golf clubs moving at speed.

Normally I only see the ringtails with only one or two young ones on the back. Never seen them in the pouch.

Yeah, right, until you arrive after dark at a camp site, completely knackered, and one of those buggers runs up a tree and pisses on you. It happened in 1979 and I've still not forgotten.....

When I was a batchelor many years ago, I lived in a house by myself with my cat, my Rottweiler, and the possum.
This possum would walk in the backdoor every night and sit in front of the TV until I feed them all. It was a pain in the arse when I was trying to watch the football on a Friday night after a few beers. But you could not get him away from the TV until the food was served.
God they were great years, the four of us got along just fine, no arguments.
I wish I had that simple life back....
