They are the next bullet up for me to try after I verify at 300 yds. tomorrow that all is good.
In regards to the 275 gr. raptor, was there a real stand out load?

I'll see if I can dig out my load data for the 275 and get it posted to you today. Time permitting, my wife just got out of the hospital after having had her neck fused and I'm a bit occupied playing nurse. I sure don't look good in a candy striper uniform...........

Okay, I dug through my notes and have 4 different loads that performed, the last being the best in my R8

Remington brass
Fed 215M primer
IMR4064 was the powder and these groups were all 5 shot groups.
1. 69.3 grains
2. 69.4 grains
3. 69.6 grains
4. 69.9 grains

I did not chronograph any of these but with the 4th load, 3 out of 5 went into the same hole, the 4th shot opened about the one hole by 1/2 the bullet diameter and the 5 shot (I called it) was about another 1/2 bullet diameter higher but all were basically in the one hole at 50. It made for a dead (drt) impala at 340 yards. I did not shoot any of these tipped nor did i during the hunt.
These loads were safe in my R8 and none exceed the load information that I was provided by the manufacturer.
Hope that helps.
Rick

I'm a USAF veteran, but spawned a U.S.M.C. Warrior. So, I have some say, .375 H&H is the caliber that gets the job done. End of story, page closed, the game is dead, easily recovered, conventional or premium bullet, mass and velocity wins.

Amen brother, amen!
Although, I have never used one on Dangerous Game, others have been widely successful! Usually for buffalo or elephant, I'd rather have a bigger bore in my hands, such as a .416 RM or .458 Lott.

Long live the great 375H&H. Another great caliber. I have a Steyr Tropen that does well with H4350 and Swift A Frames and Barnes TSX bullets. Some older notes, I haven't shot it in a while.

I have a 270 Gn CEB Safari Raptor 375 H&H load ready for Africa next month. 72 gn of RL 15, Federal Mag primer, Winchester brass. Shoots excellent out of my R8. I wanna say the velocity was 2600+ but not 100%. I'll have to check my notes on that load.
