Flicked some lures in the Mitta River.
I've taken a bit of a break from hunting as the trout are running good atm, so I popped up to the Mitta to flick a few lures and caught two just under 3lb and then hooked into a monster 7.2lb Brown.
It's my best out of the river so far.

Well done, he’s a cracker!
Life is too short to hunt with an ugly dog.

well done Speedy. There's a few big ones in the Mitta atm. Mates kid got himself a nice 6 pound trout earlier this year.

Measure it, when it’s on the deck

Got some nice ones in the lake too, I love the silver colour of the lake trout more then dark colour from the river.deerhunter338mag wrote: ↑Tue Sep 20, 2022 4:47 amwell done Speedy. There's a few big ones in the Mitta atm. Mates kid got himself a nice 6 pound trout earlier this year.![]()

Yes, the lake ones are a little different in colour and shape.

Well done Speedy. I reckon that shirt you’re wearing ,with the big trout on it, may have given you an unfair advantage.
Nice fish

Actually the soft plastics are working great in the lake atm, do OK in the river too.
But lead fish and soft vibes are definitely the winners around here, I particularly like the soft lures.
The jackall transam 95 and copies of it are definitely the business.

Did OK today, no monsters but I got a 2lb, 2.7lb and 3.2lb so it wasn't a, bad day, just tough with sheer amount of water flowing after the rain.
