How much are you paying for Fuel
I'm just curious to see what the fuel prices are around the world at present. Olsen's post about his new Jeep got me thinking about this.
I filledl up my Land Cruier 76 series (4.5 Litre V8 diesel) the other day almost AUD$250 to fill her up. The tank only holds 130 litters.
Fuel prices here in Brisbane (Capital city of Queensland) are averaging about:
ULP. AUD$ 1.86 per liter
Premium unleaded about AUD$2.05 per liter
Diesel AUD$ 2.10 per liter
Liters to Imp. Gallon 4.546 L to 1 IMP
Liters to US Gallon 3.785
AUD to USD today is AUD $1 will buy you 72 US cents.
So I reckon we're paying about USD$ 5.71 for 1 US gallon.
So how much are you blokes paying ?

Re: How much are you paying for Fuel
Around $2.10 for diesel here, the government promised cut to the duties is doing SFA.
We need to tap and refine our own oil outside of international prices.
That's the only way to fix it short if buying cheap Russian oil, not that we would even be allowed if it was possible.
Maybe buy refined fuel from India, but it's not going to change and they don't want it to.

Diesel at 2bucks a liter? I can only dream... that is about 13SEK.... hasn't been that cheap since the oil glut early during the pandemc.... try double that and then I'll listen to your whining....
good thing we usually only have to drive about half as far to get anywhere...

I doubt the fuel will drop in Australia.
Measure it, when it’s on the deck

Re: How much are you paying for Fuel
Regular gasoline/benzine is $4.20 and 95 is $4.80, I reckon diesel is $80-1.50 more. I don't buy it, so I don't really know.
This is in New Mexico near the Mexican/Texas border near El Paso.
95 was $5.40 for a while, but those days seem to be behind us.
There is a refinery in El Paso, 50 miles from my house. I think that is why ours isn't super upsold.
We are supposed to be going to Disneyland in June (about 1800 miles round trip) and I'll try to get some idea of what gas/petrol cost in Arizona and California for you while we are on the road.
We might postpone it if we have to.

Re: How much are you paying for Fuel
My last fill up was around $165.00 USD. I paid $6.10 per gallon. I think it's in the neighborhood of $6.50 per gallon now. But, I live in the communist capitol (California) of the USA, I'm sure it is cheaper elsewhere.

Re: How much are you paying for Fuel
It has been around a week since I bought diesel. It was $5.09 per gallon then. I think it has come up a tad. Seems like I saw a sign for $5.29 yesterday. This is in Oklahoma.

Re: How much are you paying for Fuel
So $5.72usd a gallon, that's $1.27aud a litre so Australian diesel is $6.81usd a gallon.canalrifle wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 5:54 amRegular gas in Virginia about $4.72 per us gallon and diesel is $1,00 more.
Seems your still better off then we are, your paying $151aud a litre. Our prices haven't been that low since before Bidden took over the show over there.

I know I’m old and forgetful but I work it out that our cousins in the USA are paying roughly the same as us for dieselSPEEDY wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 7:09 pmSo $5.72usd a gallon, that's $1.27aud a litre so Australian diesel is $6.81usd a gallon.canalrifle wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 5:54 amRegular gas in Virginia about $4.72 per us gallon and diesel is $1,00 more.

Re: How much are you paying for Fuel
Well 1 us gallon is 4.5lt, if regular gas is $4.72usd and diesel is $1usd more then that's $5.72usd per 4.5lt.
So $5.72 / 4.5 = $1.27usd a litre.
According to the exchange rate thing $1.27usd = $1.76aud a litre.
I either I missed a bit earlier, pit the wrong currency in the wrong box or Biden has really been destroying the economy faster then is humanly possible.
But that's still working the other way.
$2.10aud a litre so $2.10x4.5 = $9.45aud a gallon that translates to $6.81usd a gallon.
Well at least I only F up the one bit, it's easier to keep track of when you write it down rather do it in your head.
But there's always some rum for anyone that wants some, just saying.

Your using Imperial gallons not US gallons. That’s why you should always buy rum in Imperial measureSPEEDY wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 12:18 amWell 1 us gallon is 4.5lt, if regular gas is $4.72usd and diesel is $1usd more then that's $5.72usd per 4.5lt.

Re: How much are you paying for Fuel
I US gallon = 3.7854 liters. At $6.10 per US gallon = $1.61 usd per liter. Current exchange rate on internet showed $1usd = 1.39aud. So 1.61usd = $2.24aud I think, I am still on my first cup of coffee.
