I’m with you Olsen the only accessories a Jeep requires are robust recovery points suitable for constant use and a heated rear window for pushing her in Winter

Could have been worse, he could have bought a land rover, according to EU regulations their recovery vehicles must have a 1m berm around them to contain the fluids during transport.
If my mates is any indication then the only time you can reliably go anywhere in one is when it's on the back of a recovery vehicle.

I have owned a 98 Grand Cherokee, 2005 Cherokee, 2005 Wrangler, 2015 Wrangler Unlimited.

All four were solid front axle. I don't think the non-Wranglers are built that way anymore.

Lived in Spain, Australia, Italy and Germany when I owned them respectively.

Would any of them again. A Wrangler is an absolute manure vehicle for highway use, I think the new trucks are probably better. Like driving a brick down the road.

Yes the wrangler is a crap vehicle on the road, especially when it's got one broken chassis coupling and is geld onto the frame by a large strap.

But one good thing about them, he took it into the Darwin roads place to get its safety check when he moved there and it was failed because of the tint.
So he drove into the parking lot, removed the rear compartment and then rolled down the windows and disconnected the winders.
Then he drove straight back through again and looked at the same guy and said its now an open top.
Then had to pass it, so my mate went pack to the car park, put the bits back on and drove off with his new number plate.
