Is anyone shooting a Blaser barrel in 7mm that is able to stabilize 180 ELD-M or 175 ELD-X?
Hornady recommends 8" twist for the 180 and 8.5" twist for the 175.
Trying to determine if I can go with a Blaser barrel or need to pick up the Akila Bear 8 barrel extension and do a custom barrel.
Thanks

160 Accubonds are about as big as I can do.

I shoot 175gr ELD-X at about 2800 fps out of my 7x64 which I think is a 1 in 8.66" twist, so I can't imagine the 7mm Rem Mag would have any issues. Note: I am using a very long OAL of around 3.55", which is possible due to generous magazine length and very long throat so still nowhere near the lands.

The 7mm REM Mag is a 9.5” twist; stability calculator shows that twist as unstable at lower density altitudes.marauder wrote: ↑Sun Sep 03, 2023 1:58 am I shoot 175gr ELD-X at about 2800 fps out of my 7x64 which I think is a 1 in 8.66" twist, so I can't imagine the 7mm Rem Mag would have any issues. What brass are you using for your 7x64?
How’s your accuracy with the 175 ELDX?
