Nice Purdey

Post by Olsen »

Was in a new opened shop in Copenhagen yesterday, and found a really nice gun, but 12 gauge, not 20 as I want
Only 55.500 dollar, build in 1991, very nice Purdey

Don't worry it's blowing over as the world realises that it can run under crippling restrictions, although now that governments know they can give themselves these powers they will find new reasons to use them.
You just won't be able to plan ahead, but when things open up you will just have to go short notice before things change again.

But I would have loved to see the whole gun.

Hey Olsen. I got to hold a couple of Purdy 12 ‘bore’ doubles the other week.

One is a brand new base model O/U, uncased, for about AUD $135K

The other a SxS made in the late’40’s. Cased and with 3 sets of barrels. F, M, IC. Price about AUD $65K iirc.

Bloody beautiful

Looking at that makes me want to sell the house, shame you can't live in a shotgun.
But a man could happily become a one gun hunter with something like that, it would make any hunt an experience.

I have spent extended time in Copenhagen on work over the years and the most amazing gun shop I was ever in was in Frederiksberg. British doubles racked four deep. But I guess it got closed down.
