Yep. Word is the XG sensor is better at higher magnification than the XP. There’s no keeping up.

At this rate by the time I get around to buying one they will come out in X Ray.
I'm soft and I don't care.

Re: Pulsar Thermion XG50
It really sucks, as I bought an XP38 and then they come out with the XG and the krypton.
Unlike the XG, the krypton hasn't hit the streets yet.
If the krypton lives up to it's hype, I'll have to get one.

Re: Pulsar Thermion XG50
That’s progress at its best, and I’m hearing ya.
Things are moving quickly at Pulsar but one thing they are doing is creating options for the consumer at various price levels, and making it “affordable”.
Thermal technology is no different to other tech when it comes to evolution.
Buy it now and in 5 years it will be left far behind. It will still be good, great and maybe awesome, but the newer stuff will be better.
I paid more for my Apex XD50 five years ago than what I can get a Thermion XQ50 for now, and it is a big upgrade.
Thank f*** I didn’t think of upgrading earlier and get a Trail!
